چکیده

Behaviour composition is a means to achieve modularity and adaptability. Differently from process algebra, SDL does not explicitly define composition operators. In this paper, we propose design patterns and rules for expressing elementary behaviours called roles and their composition in SDL. The composite state concept newly introduced in SDL-2000 is used in an original and innovative way to model roles and their composition. Simple SDL extensions are also discussed that facilitate composition. These extensions do not require changes to be made to the SDL semantics.

Modelling Digital Logic in SDL

The specification of digital logic in SDL (Specification and Description Language) is investigated. A specification approach is proposed for multi-level descriptions of hardware behaviour and structure. The modelling method exploits features introduced in SDL-92. The approach also deals with the specification, analysis and simulation of timing aspects at any level in the specification of digita...

Modelling of Stress-Strain Behaviour of Clayey Soils Using Artificial Neural Network

In this research, behaviour of clayey soils under triaxial loading is studied using Neural Network. The models have been prepared to predict the stress-strain behaviour of remolded clays under undrained condition. The advantage of the model developed is that simple parameters such as physical characteristics of soils like water content, fine content, Atterberg limits and so on, are used to mode...

SDL-based modelling and design of IN/UMTS handover functionality

In this paper a handover functional model and corresponding functionality description in SDL for the IN/UMTS concept for third generation mobile systems protocol development is presented. The model is based on ETSI NA-61301 [1] handover functional model. The main focus is on the introduction and specification of necessary Functional Entities for control and execution of the switching function f...
